Live animals, Environmental Park trail, planetarium, Keva Works, and the many science-based exhibits will have your child solving problems, designing, building, testing, and learning with a smile. This cozy Winston-Salem, NC bookstore, at 634 W. Fourth St. #110, has a great selection of kid’s books and more that they can immerse themselves in as you browse and sip on coffee. If you have a bookworm, they offer a monthly Kids Club subscription ($25) of handpicked books sent to your door. For more fun, they work with local businesses to add new events to their calendar for the whole family, along with their free monthly story time geared to kids 3-7.
You can follow their calendar online or stop by during business hours. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am – 9 pm and Sunday from 12 pm – 6 pm.
Calling all Winston-Salem NC race car lovers! Get your engines ready to view 33 years of Winston Cup Series stock car racing history. They have more than 20 authentic race cars on display, including ones driven by Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Jimmy Spencer, and Wendell Scott! Their tours are packed with information and incredible memorabilia. Never-seen-before photographs from the legendary Winston Cup Series, trophies, uniforms, helmets, and more. You can even have your photo taken at victory lane. Some exhibits do rotate out to keep you engaged every visit at this fun Thing to Do in Winston-Salem, NC.
